Wow, this is the last Friday Favorites before the Holiday! This one actually contains a couple things I wouldn't mind seeing under the tree! And speaking of tree...I really want to thank you guys for all of your sweet words about the previous post. It was hard for me to talk about and you guys made me feel all warm inside. Thank you so much!
I've wanted Urban Decay's best-selling Naked and Naked 2 palettes forevs, but being that I put the "o" in cheapo I have yet to get Naked...I guess you could say that I have remained Fully Clothed! ( Oh jeez...in case you were wondering where you could find corny one-liners...look no further.) Anyway, I'm so thrilled that for spendthrifts such as myself Urban Decay now has Naked Basics! It's a smaller set, with their six must-have shades for the perfect neutral, matte eye. I certainly wouldn't mind if it appeared in my stocking this year! ;)
This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a while! Brown Sugar Casted Chocolates! Yes, in the comfort of your home you can make your own molds for making chocolate...and who knew that brown sugar is the perfect medium for making molds?! This simple project idea has my imagination running wild! I cannot wait to make some fantastic shapes! And Aaron said that he can't wait to eat any of the excess brown sugar. Yeah...any time I bake with it he'll pop a chunk in his mouth!
I've been a Betsey fan for so so long. We go waaaay back. For a good chunk of years I'd describe my own personal style as Betsey Johnson meets Mr. T with a dash of Lynn Yaeger. No Joke...that was my Fashion Holy Trinity. I know you might be having trouble visualizing how Mr. T fits in, but trust me. Anyway, I smiled pretty big when I came across this Betsey bag the other day. I feel like it fits my current aesthetic while nodding to my fun and glittery past. And again...I certainly wouldn't mind owning it. ;)
Ohh wow...this just sets my heart all a flutter! I'm a big fan of embroidery in any way shape or form. It's an art that tickles my aesthetic funny bone. And I'm just head over heels for things that are made beautiful by the passage of time. Wear and Tear is always a plus and never a minus. This collection of carpets, poufs and cushions by designer Charlotte Lancelot is so amazing. With missing threads and segments made to look time worn and distressed. So genius...so gorgeous.
Simple yet fantastic! I adore this! And I hope that by this time next year our home has gone through a miraculous transformation and that Christmas 2013 is a banner year at casa de Holiday! And when that time comes I would love to do this.
This vintage photo hits my sweet spot. I'm not going to ruin it with words. I'm sure you've got plenty of your own. It's dreamy.
Ok, thanks again joining me for Friday Favorites!
xo, Jenny
